Lahore businesses without a website: real 2026 numbers

On 1 November 2026 we ran the ClientoraHQ finder over Lahore for three business types. Of 180 cafes, bakeries and salons listed on the map, 166 had no website. Here is the data, what it means for web designers and freelancers in Pakistan, and how to turn it into paying clients without spamming anyone.

How many businesses in Lahore have no website?

On 1 November 2026, OpenStreetMap listed 180 cafes, bakeries and salons in Lahore, and 166 of them (92%) showed no website, including 71 of 73 bakeries and 75 of 81 cafes. The map is incomplete, so some may have a site that is not listed. Check each one on Google first.

The Lahore data: 166 of 180 businesses list no website

We searched OpenStreetMap across Lahore on 1 November 2026 for three types of business that depend on walk-in customers and Google searches:

Cafes: 75 of 81

93% list no website. Only 5 of the 81 list a phone number on the map.

Bakeries: 71 of 73

97% list no website, the highest share of the three. Only 1 lists a phone number.

Hair & beauty salons: 20 of 26

77% list no website, many of them on MM Alam Road, Tipu Road and Ghazali Road.

Together that is 166 of 180 (92%). The map does not list every business in the city, so the true count is much higher. What the numbers show clearly is that most small businesses in Lahore still rely on walk-ins, word of mouth and a Facebook or Instagram page, and lose the customer who searches "bakery near me" on Google.

Try it: run the same search for your area

Pick a business type and keep Lahore, or type Karachi, Islamabad or any other city. You get how many have no website on the map, and the first ten by name. One free search, no sign-up.

Why this matters for web designers in Pakistan

Freelancers in Pakistan usually look for web design clients on Fiverr and Upwork, where hundreds of people bid on every job. A Lahore bakery with no website has no bidding war: it has an owner who has probably never been asked. Local clients also pay in rupees, meet you in person, refer their friends and come back for a menu update, a new branch page or Google Business setup.

  1. Find them. Run the finder for one business type and one area, such as cafes in Gulberg or salons on MM Alam Road.
  2. Check before you pitch. Look each one up on Google and Instagram. If they have only an Instagram page, that is your pitch: a simple site with a menu, location and WhatsApp button.
  3. Keep it short and honest. One message in Roman Urdu on WhatsApp, or a visit with a one-page sample on your phone. No "your business is losing millions" scare lines.
  4. Price it simply. A fixed price for a one-page site, with an optional monthly fee for updates. Our freelance pricing calculator gives you a range and milestones.
  5. Track who you contacted so nobody hears from you twice.

Businesses that already have a website

The 14 that do list a website are clients too. Many Lahore business sites are slow on mobile, have no HTTPS or show an old menu. Run the free website audit tool on them first, then lead with what already works and two or three real fixes, as in our website audit cold email template.

Do this every day without the spreadsheet

ClientoraHQ's Local Biz finder does the whole loop for any city: it lists businesses with and without a website, audits the weak sites, scores each lead, writes the pitch (in Roman Urdu if you want) and marks who you contacted. For a lighter start in Pakistan, ClientoraHQ One has small paid tools priced in rupees, and the free web plan on platform.clientorahq.com includes one Local Biz search a day.

Questions people ask

Where do these Lahore numbers come from?

From OpenStreetMap, the free open map data, checked on 1 November 2026 with the same query our free finder uses. OpenStreetMap does not list every business in Lahore, so the real totals are higher; the share without a website is what matters.

Does 'no website' mean the business really has none?

It means the map listing has no website. Some businesses have a site or a Facebook page that isn't listed, so always look them up on Google before you call or message. The finder has a Look up on Google button on every card for this.

How much should I charge a Lahore cafe or bakery for a website?

Most small Lahore businesses start with a one-page site or a menu page. Use our freelance pricing calculator to work out a fair price from your hourly rate, with milestones and a quote you can send.

Should I pitch in English or Urdu?

For most Lahore shop owners, a short WhatsApp message in Roman Urdu reads more naturally than formal English. ClientoraHQ can write the pitch in Roman Urdu, and you press Send yourself.

Can I run this search for another city?

Yes. The finder works for any city in Pakistan or worldwide: Karachi, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Multan or abroad. One free search on this page, no sign-up.
